La Perla Valencia Albufera rice

Albufera rice is the latest variety to be included in the Designation of Origin Rice of Valencia. With a pearly appearance, this rice is the result of a cross between the Sénia and Bomba varieties, the former giving its excellent capacity to absorb the right amount of cooking liquid, and the latter its improved resistance to 'breaking' during cooking. The result is a rice with separate grains and a smooth and creamy texture, ideal for paellas and other traditional Valencian dishes.
