How The West Was Won
The Western boot trend is still kickin’ (literally). A marriage between traditional cowgirl style and modern architecture, the Fall 2019 collections take the concept to the next level.
Famed bootmaker Sartore, knows how to do Western-inspired boots and its ‘Flame Cut’ version is a fashionista-must. In an iconic shape and dramatic design (with or without studs), it has a vintage vibe that feels like a throwback that is just so now. We love it with Fall’s new prints, like the I dress featured above…all about this pattern mix!
Chloé and Isabel Marant love a Western vibe, but take a more modern approach with shapes that are anything but classic cowboy. Chloé’s Susanna Boots have become a staple for the fashion set and we love them in winter white…cool-girl, chic. Isabel Marant’s Deane Boots change things up with a cone heel and a bold yellow printed skin for an of the moment vibe that takes you from the plains to the city streets. Both styles add just the right edge to all of your favorite Rag & Bone and Alexander Wang jeans.
Golden Goose was born with an eye on the West. Perhaps most well-known for their coveted sneakers, they have been designing Western boots for years. Their Wish Star Boots are cut to emulate a traditional cowboy shape and are hand-distressed to look like they have been on the ranch for some time. They are just the right compliment to Ulla Johnson’s boho-country sensibility. For that extra country-girl touch…we adore them in a neutral, distressed suede.
